Presentation of the Augsburg Confession

What We Believe, Teach, and Confess
We hold the teaching of the Scriptures as they are confessed in the Small Catechism of Martin Luther, the Augsburg Confession, and the entire Book of Concord. For more information about our teachings, please speak with our pastor, or visit one of our services or Bible classes. Several times a year, Pastor conducts a Bible information Class that serves as an introduction to Lutheran Christianity and provides a way for those who wish to join our congregation.

You can also learn more about Lutheranism in the books listed on the left side of this page.

History
Trinity was the first WELS congregation started in the El Paso area, when it began in 1969. During that time it has been served by seven pastors. In 1985 the congregation decided to open a Lutheran Elementary School, which has served hundreds of students over the course of the past twenty-five years. Our current location and facilities on Hondo Pass have been our home since 1991.

Pastor Caauwe

Pastor Caauwe

Pastor
Pastor Caauwe was born in Fremont, Nebraska, but grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota. He is the product of the Lutheran school system, from kindergarten through high school.  He began his formal training for the pastoral ministry at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the college in the spring of 2001. On May 20, 2005 he graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. Prior to serving in El Paso, he served in Modesto, California for three years after graduation from the Seminary.

Lutheran pastors serve the flock by preaching and presiding at the worship of the congregation, instructing young and old in the Christian faith, providing pastoral care and counsel, visiting with the sick, the dying, members and non-members. Please give him a call and he will be happy to serve in whatever way he is able.
